November is upon us!

afghan-women

Because literacy is important to me, I am celebrating November by helping World In Need’s Afghan Women’s Literacy Programme. For every book by Caitlyn Callery that is bought in November, 50% of my royalties will go to this programme, helping women get the education they were once denied. To make sure the gift is as large as possible, I will add 50 pence for every review posted during the month on Amazon or Goodreads.

Meanwhile…

NOVEMBER is NATIONAL NOVEL WRITING MONTH (NaNoWriMo)

Writers all over the world have begun their new novels. Some will aim to write 50,000 words this month. Others will be glad of any words they get down. As for me, I’m aiming for the moon: the whole 75,000 words of a first draft by November 30th!

Doable? I’m going to find out.

As of yesterday (11th) I had done 14,800 words. It’s a start.

My Nanowrimo entry this year is the fifth book in the Hadlow Series. “Viscount in Hiding” tells the story of Josh Summersby, the new Viscount Frantham. However, when he arrives home to take up his position, he finds someone else has beaten him to it…
